The Grainstore: Revitalising a Blandford landmark for local businesses

Since 2017 we’ve worked to transform an old, abandoned grain store in Blandford into a thriving hub for businesses and individuals. What started as a neglected building has evolved into a dynamic space that offers storage, workshops and offices – all with flexible lease terms. It’s been a rewarding journey and we’re proud of the community we’ve built here at The Grainstore.

From abandoned grain store to the Grainstore business hub

When we first took on the Grainstore in 2017 we immediately saw its potential even though it had been left empty for years. The building needed a lot of work but we were determined to bring it back to life whilst preserving its unique character. Our aim was to create a place where businesses could come together, collaborate and grow.

We’ve put in the effort to ensure that the Grainstore is more than just a place to rent. We’ve built it into a variety of flexible spaces that can meet a wide range of needs, from storage to workshops to offices. It’s become a place where businesses can find support and space to thrive.

Today the Grainstore offers a variety of spaces to suit different types of businesses. Whether you’re a small business in need of office space, a maker or artist looking for a workshop or a company needing extra storage, we’ve got you covered.

We’ve also created versatile workshops for businesses that need room to get hands-on with their work. And for those needing extra storage, we provide secure, flexible options to fit your needs. Our flexible lease terms allow businesses to adjust their space as they grow or change.

Expanding with the Long Building

As demand for our spaces grew, we recognised the need to expand. So over the last year we have developed the Long Building to provide even more office, workshop and storage space. We designed it to meet modern needs while maintaining the charm of the original site.

With the Long Building’s spacious, modern design it’s already become a key part of the Grainstore and we’re excited to see how it will help even more businesses succeed.
